Two Kingsley Healthcare managers were guests at a House of Commons reception in recognition of their commitment to training at a Norfolk care home.

Kirsty Holden, manager at Thorp House care home in Griston, and operations manager Georgina Dennison were invited by the YMCA to the event which was hosted by Romsey and Southampton North MP Caroline Nokes.

Staff at Downham Grange care home in Clackclose Road, Downham Market have welcomed an overall good Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection rating. Peter Barlow, manager of the Kingsley Healthcare run home, said: “As a team, we share a passion for good care and I am delighted that has been recognised by the inspector in his report.”

Diners given a festive treat at Lowestoft club’s Christmas meal

Diners sitting down to their Christmas dinner at the Lowestoft Over 60s community club’s festive event were surprised to be given their ticket money back to them as they sat down for Christmas pudding. Members of the club paid £5 to attend the annual festive dinner last Thursday December 15, but when they sat down to eat they were given their ticket money back.
