Highcliffe Nursing Home transformed in £2.25m revamp

Work on a £2.25m upgrade of Highcliffe Nursing Home is on course for completion in July. Builders from Mildren Construction, in Christchurch, have reached first-floor level on a 16-bed extension which will provide new luxury suites and increase the home’s capacity to 55 beds.

Kingsley shortlisted for prestigious design award

The £3m new-build facility, which opened in October, is one of three homes nominated in the category of Best Design for Younger Adults at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards in London on March 13. Glebe Farm, designed to provide support for people who would benefit from living in a peaceful setting, has been commissioned as a home for nine adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Friend flies in from New Zealand for 100th birthday

It was a 100th birthday wish that Joyce Fitzsimons could not have dreamed of coming true.
For a special guest at her party in Timperley Nursing Home today <February 15> was her best friend of 56 years, Diane Handiside, 77, who flew 12,000 miles from Christchurch, New Zealand, especially for the occasion.
