Park Lane is a care home that puts the residents first. The friendly and experienced staff provide a warm, homely atmosphere within a home where providing the highest standards of care is a matter of pride for all concerned. Proud to be part of the Kingsley Healthcare group, with its proven track record of delivering quality care, Park Lane provides residential and respite care, and specialist care for those who may be living with a dementia.
Our approach to care is, we believe, second to none, as we have developed a programme of assistance and care that suits the needs and wishes of each resident as an individual.
In particular, residents who are experiencing memory loss benefit from arguably the most enlightened approach to dementia care that exists in the UK at the present time, with our truly ‘person centred’ approach. As with all the homes within the Kingsley Healthcare Group, person centred care is at the centre of everything we do. This approach concentrates on providing a personalised care package with the individual’s quality of life and dignity at its core.
All our bedrooms have en suite facilities and we have two companion rooms available for those who wish to share. The rooms are attractively decorated and furnished to a high standard, but we do encourage residents to bring some of their personal treasured belongings, such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture, as these all help make the room truly their own.
There are three spacious and well-furnished lounges, which all provide excellent areas to relax, chat, watch television, listen to music, play a game or simply spend some quiet time.
There are no routines at Park Lane – residents can get up when they like and go to bed when they like. Yes, there are set mealtimes:
- Breakfast 8 until 10
- Lunch 12 until 1
- Dinner 4 until 5.30
But snacks and drinks are also provided throughout the day, and residents are free to eat in their rooms whenever they like.
Can I have breakfast in bed? No problem.
Can I have a tot or two of whisky before bed, or listen to my favourite music together with cheese and wine? No trouble either.
We operate an open door policy here at Park Lane, which means that visitors can come any time, eat with their loved ones and phone up whenever they wish. Likewise, residents can phone their loved ones whenever they like.
How about a game of pool, chess, bingo or cards? The games room is a fantastic, popular addition to the home.
Each communal room is varied and unique, having a style all their own, and you can choose whichever one you like to relax in.
The home is full of life and friendly – to many of the residents it feels “like home from home, with the staff always laughing and smiling”.
There is always a programme of activities available to all residents, but these are optional and allow for much input from each individual. You might prefer to have a Jacuzzi bath to ease those muscles, or have a nice afternoon nap!
The people, environment and embedded Kingsley culture all go towards creating a family feeling at Park Lane. We ensure the dining area is a communal family experience with everyone interacting, which creates a positive atmosphere throughout the home. Staff members are trained and skilled in involving individuals in the numerous activities available, and become more like a family to the residents.
The experience of individuals living at Park Lane is that of love, well-being, encouragement and fulfilment. The staff all have a kind and caring nature and create a strong family feel within the home, in that the residents feel valued and encouraged.
Park Lane is a calm and relaxed environment, providing optional activities throughout the day.
We learn all about our residents’ hobbies, tastes and interests, so we can think of ways in which to get them interested and involved. Our person centred care is focused around each person’s individual needs and wishes, and we value and respect how each person chooses to spend their day.
We also support our residents in maintaining their independence as far as is possible; we embrace and encourage ways in which they can achieve this.
We want all of our residents to live as healthily as possible, to aid them in living long and pleasant lives. We encourage exercise, keeping minds active and eating nutritious food.
At Park Lane meal times are a very popular and social occasion. Our very own chefs prepare a wide range of delicious, home cooked favourites, using nutritious fresh local produce. The monthly rotating and regularly updated menu caters for all tastes and dietary requirements, and has regular input from the residents.
Should individuals wish, they can dine in their own rooms, however, most enjoy the atmosphere in one of the well-furnished dining rooms. When the weather allows, some residents like to enjoy afternoon tea in the landscaped grounds or the patio area.

The highest standard of Dementia Care.
Congleton is a bustling town in Cheshire, on the banks of the River Dane, to the west of Macclesfield Canal. It is a town with a strong local community, in which Park Lane is actively involved, and close to the home there is a leisure centre, theatre, pubs and cafés.
The home is beautifully furnished, yet at the same time provides specialised care to senior residents; those who just need a little help every now and again through to those suffering from a dementia. We also offer respite care when rooms are available.
The home has three lounges, a dining room and six bathrooms that have assisted technology for those who need it. All bedrooms have en suites, and there are two double rooms for those who would like to share.
Each and every one of our Kingsley care homes is different in some way. However, at each of our care homes we all have a common set of highly respected and award-winning features embedded within the culture, and the way we care for our residents makes a remarkable difference.
