Kingsley Healthcare has been announced as a finalist in the HealthInvestor Awards to be held in London in June and we are delighted to be shortlisted for the prestigious award.
The HealthInvestor Awards promote excellence and recognise outstanding performance in the independent healthcare sector and attract more than 1,200 guests each year to the Grosvenor House Hotel.
Chris May, director of Kingsley’s specialist services division which is shortlisted for the specialist care provider of the year award, said: “We are thrilled to have made the final. This is a tribute to the dedication and professional skill of our staff.”
Kingsley’s entry submission states that its specialist learning disability services are underpinned by the belief that “people with a learning disability and/or autism should have the same opportunities as anyone else and to be treated with dignity and respect”.
It highlights the success of our services in avoiding the “revolving door scenario” where placements for people who are discharged from hospital to more standard residential services or independent living environments break down, often resulting in re-admission to hospital.
The submission draws attention to the success of its specialist nurse-led service model which provides specialist support for people with very complex needs and challenges.
