Our aim is to look after our residents in the best possible way in a home from home environment creating an atmosphere to meet the needs of the individual.
We regard each resident as individual. We recognise each person’s right to air their views, voice their opinions, make choices, be informed of their condition and be given the help and understanding to accept the assessed care needs.
We offer at all times, sensitive and conscientious nursing and personal care from our team of competent and committed staff who have an understanding of the needs of older people.
We are available to chat with the residents, assist and/or advise with any problems regarding health, general queries or worries - however small - that may crop up. We believe the allocation of named key care staff for each resident enable the individual to feel part of the family group - having someone friendly and familiar to relate to and confide in.
We are also aware of the spiritual requirements of the individual and act accordingly to ensure those needs are met.
It is an important part of our philosophy to provide quality care. Respect for the privacy and dignity of each individual being uppermost in our minds. Care plans are established from an individual assessment of needs to ensure the retention of dignity and as much independence as possible.
We encourage the involvement of families and their participation in regular assessment and care planning for residents whilst observing the rights of residents to personal privacy.
Above all, we will strive to create a home, where in comfort, safety and security, the resident can be the individual that he or she has always been.
